My Dad: Clearly better than average.

It’s been a while since I gave a Dad update, and I realized, today, that we have passed the 4 month mark since he was diagnosed with the bad, bad lung cancer.  Median survival rates are 2 – 4 months, and HA! He is still running around, going to concerts and football games, and doing very well, thank you (my opinion, just in case you were wondering, Dad).  As the title would indicate, he is clearly better than average.  I’ve always known it, but now I have clinical proof.

Today he started a new chemo – round 1 stopped working, round 2 worked too well and I, for one, am hoping that round 3 is just right.  I am sure I am not alone in that. We’ll see how it goes, but keep up the well wishes, the prayers or the gregorian chanting, whichever works for you.  It all seems to be working for Dad.
