Today I saw a plaque that said “Every day is a little life”. Meaning every day you start over, and have a chance to live a good life, today. I like that.
Then, when I got home, I found this on my back porch:
It has been a long time since anyone sent me flowers, much less my FAVORITE flowers – daisies. And I wondered who there was out in the world that knew about my favorite flower and had a reason to send me some. They were from Amy, a friend of mine from high school, who was on the gymnastics team with me. It made my day.
Today, we took advantage of the opportunity to have a new start, in our backyard. Although I missed out on the true “before” picture, here is what our back yard looks like this afternoon:
At 5:30 this morning, a pack of men showed up to put up a wall, which will be filled with dirt, and then dug back up for a pool. We think we will spend more time in the back yard once we actually have a back yard, and it is starting already. Andra went straight to the back yard, with her backpack, and did a little homework set up on the pallet of block.
All in all, today’s life was a good one.
