World Enough, and Time

I love the quote “Live always, my friend, as if you had world enough and time.”   It is probably a bastardization of this poem, but I once did a cross stitch for Phil’s dad that had this quote, and I still love it.

The problem, generally is that these days I have world enough, but not so much on the time.  Which is why some of these things drive me crazy.

Free Rice.com – I am a freak for a good challenge.  On Andra’s field trips I have to do everything I can not to answer when the docents ask the kids a question – because duh!   I know the answer!  Pick me!  Freerice.com – a total vocabulary bonanza where you “give” rice to the hungry.   I could stay there all day except I have a job.

And now THIS.  You create your own Band and Album cover.  Andra once wrote me a note that said “one thing I love about you is that there is nothing you can’t do.”  Well, sweet one, this one almost stopped me.  I could barely figure it out.  But I did.  With Andra’s help. So here are our groovy album covers – as if I have time to be doing this:

Andra’s Cover (her band name is an antibiotic…):

Grace’s cover:

And finally, mine – which according to Andra I CHEATED on, since I shopped a little instead of leaving it to the fates:

I think I rose and fell and ended the last time (because I have a job – back to that) at 44? I will have to go again and see for sure…

Excellent! So glad you had the girls do it too. Always fun to bring the younger girls into this world!

Ok…so what tool do you use to create the album cover? I got all the pieces now I need to put them together. This is fun!

If you right click on the Flikr picture, you should be able to save it as a .jpg. Then if you open the .jpg with your photo editor (if you don’t know what you have I think you can go through Explorer and it will open in your default photo editor). Then find the Effects for “add text” and go from there. I wasn’t able to get as crafty as Jennie, but it was still fun.Good luck!
