Andra started making a rubber band ball last year, and many of you contributed. Just when I would insist I would not buy another bag of rubber bands, one of you would step in and contribute a few to the process. It is so heavy and you can almost not stretch a rubber band around the ball now, it has grown so.
Today, in a shameless ploy to get us to buy stuff, a local retailer had on display the largest rubber band ball EVER.
See Andra’s? She has a way to go to catch the record. But it worked. It got us there, and we spent a fortune. We got free rubber band balls, rubber band tattoos, and best of all, Andra got new purpose.
Grace informed me yesterday that maybe we all need a little change every now and then to “push” us. To help us with the purpose. She was referring to buying new flavored toothpaste, and new fluoride rinse, and reminding me that it is my job to push her to do better. By buying her things.
If she will brush her teeth more, I will fall for it for now. I see more rubber bands and more toothpaste in my future, either way.
