Who I Might Have Been

I traveled through the airports in several hub cities yesterday, and since it was more leisure travel than business, for a change, I was actually more relaxed and looked around more than usual.  What I find compelling is that when you are in a large group of people like that, from all and any possible walks of life, you can see dozens of people who you might have become, had one thing in your life turned you in another direction.

There was the earthy girl, with her ashy blonde hair piled loosely on the top of her head, no makeup, wearing too short, straight leg jeans and a loose T shirt, with a sporty backpack.  I could have been that girl.
