Earlier this year I won a gift. It was a really good gift. If you are flexible. If you plan ahead. But I am not, always, and I didn’t.
So today I had to sigh deeply and “downgrade” my 2 round trip tickets to Europe into 2 round trip tickets to Acapulco (we could still have gone to Europe, but only if we never wanted to come home… which maybe isn’t such a bad idea after all). Then I bought 2 more tickets and reserved a room in a newly refurbished, expensive hotel for a week for my family. While I get to go too, I am counting this as a gift to all of us. I could get used to this kind of giving.

Hi! What a wonderful gift, you all deserve it! Still love reading your blog. Did you get my xmas card? Sounds like 2010 is off to a great start!
Jillian, I DID get your card although I was confused by the whole lab coat thing (do accountants wear lab coats where you live?) and so I admit it took me a while to figure out it was you (you also had no name on the card, and it was postmarked from Tucson, to mess with me even more…) Thank you, though π
Hahaha…the postmark from Tucson confused many people. I am a procrastinator, something I have come to accept so when I landed in Tucson, I stopped by the postoffice. π And the labcoat thing, well I am going back to school and making a career change. Suppose when you are 18, you don’t always make the best decisions for a lifetime.
