End of the week. Happy Friday.

Here.  You deserve it (the photo that is).  I appreciate your patience.  Of course at my day job, I got alot of “You cut your hair” comments.  I joke with my neighbor that with one exception (that would be Beth my personal fashion muse, job coach, life mentor and general new job support system) the people (men) I work with now just make basic statements like “Is your hair different?” or “You cut your hair” followed by silence.  No  “It looks good” or “I like it”, just “You cut your hair”.  I suspect they are hesitating to tell me how great it is for fear that I will lash back with harassment charges.  I am sure that is it, right?  It couldn’t be that they just don’t like it… I did get one “At first I thought you looked like a boy but it is growing on me” comments.  That is my favorite.  So the quote of the day is:

“If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.”

Really.  I mean it.  It was a good lesson in 1st grade.  It still is.

Maybe that is a backhanded compliment. “You look like a boy” translates to “you’re really fitting in here, nice to have you around”.For the record, you don’t look like a boy. And the hair is cute.

I love the new do! As for the work comments, I have been there my friend – generally speaking men just are totally mortified by what to say when a woman wears her hair differently. I have heard some great ones in my day – switching back and forth from curly to straight hair really throws them for a loop.
